Preview: Venom 13.3 and Avengers Academy 26

CBR has the previews up for comics being released on February 22nd.

Venom 13.3 and Avengers Academy 26 in particular should both have X-23.

Venom 13.3 looks like it could be a fantastic issue with what it seems to cover. If handled with care at least. So we'll see. Thompson's side show's promise, but Venom wasn't the one that was having canon/character accuracy issues anyway. It could nose dive quickly with the others, or it could prove that they were just saving the best for here and the rest.

Avengers Academy 26 is continuing on where the previous issue left off and could prove rather interesting for the unknown future of the Academy.

  1. The Venom event has been pretty average so far. 13.2 was much better than 13.1. I would give it a 7 out of 10. Avenger's Academy since X-23 joined has also been pretty average. The event I am excited by is the AvsX crossover coming out. Have you seen the cover for AA 29?

I know covers don't necessarily mean how things will play out; but come on! X-23 on the AA side with her former teammates in some kind of a prison camp scenario. I love it!

    1. It's definitely going to be interesting to hear her views on it all. Wolverine seems to be on the Avengers side in all this too. I still don't know if X-23 would really take a side though, and with everything generation hope has been going through she may think they need to be away from Utopia to avoid Hope's manipulations.

    2. Btw, I agree entirely on Circle of four. I'm also waiting for the accompanying synopsis for the issues before I post up the covers, but thanks for the heads up on that one, all I've seen so far was 28's.

  2. Just read Venom 13.3. I know you usually post your comments a couple days after release. But I have to say 13.3 was pretty awesome. Hopefully, the last two parts in this event build upon this.

    1. It was interesting. I was a bit hesitant to even wanting to bother after the previous 3, but it's definitely starting to hit an upswing over the previous.
