This issue is part 2 in the War with the Runaways story arc. It's an issue without X-23 but still worth checking out.
Next issue is the moment you've all been waiting for. Avengers vs X-Men will be in high gear and X-23 will be caught in the middle between some of her former teammates and her new teammates.
I disagree. If it doesn't have Laura in it, it isn't worth checking out.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with your disagreement! Anything with The Runaways is pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteMatter of opinion then. I don't like the Runaways. Or any other team or group for that matter. Always prefered the loners, the soloists.
DeleteIt's worth checking out for the overall message of walking a mile in another's shoes before trying to give any kind of advice to them. It also deals with concepts of prejudgements. That does reflect on many of aspects of X-23. It's also something that does speak volumes to what might be coming up with X-23's former teammates making remarks at Laura, potentially calling her a traitor to her own kind and more while they've been very self-centered, hypocritical, and narrow minded about all the sacrifices she has made to protect them. They can't have it both ways, yet they'll try to plead that kind of case, based on their character personas at least. Except for Mercury maybe, but no clue if she'll be involved in this.
ReplyDeleteConsider the Runaways story less as a story without X-23, and more as a foreshadowing of what's to come about controversy, adult attitudes, and conflict resolution.
